More Black-Adds Pop To Your Black And White Photos

I've recently started taking black and white "artsy" photos again.  If you don't know, I've spent most of my career in portrait photography including non-people type subjects like trees.

If you are like me then you really love trees.  Trees add so much to the quality of our lives.  I'm so in love with them. I also did a series of paintings about them called Windows, but that's another story.

One of the things I like to do to enhance my b&w photos is completely eliminating the background and replacing it with pure black or a black gradient.

I took this shot in Tainan City, Taiwan.  I think that its bark or skin is very unique; so, I stopped on the way to a restaurant and took a few photos.

Here's the final rendition of that tree.
