Seven Unique Ways to Paint a Masterpiece Without a Brush

I recently discovered an article on My Modern Net that I thought I would share with you today.  It explores seven different techniques that do not involve a paint brush.  I was interested in it because I paint Sometimes with a brush.

As an artist, I am always experimenting with my work process, and sometimes that means, I put down my traditional paint brushes for something unique.  Upon reading the article you'll learn seven ways that artists are making headlines by leaving their brushes at home.

Personally, I use several of the techniques covered in the article to do a single painting on paper or canvas.  I love the feel of adding a touch of forceful slings of paint through the air defying gravity for just a moment.  Slinging paint wasn't really address in the article, but that just goes to show you that as long as you can imagine, it can be done.  There are so many more ways to paint without a brush.

Some of my latest abstracts are examples of using an applicator with paint and hurling the paint across the canvas in different velocities and directions.

Finally, I do paint with digitally.  Not only is it good practice, it also relieves stress when I am away from the canvas.
