Girl Alone-Cancer is Becoming a Common Life Event

Girl Alone.  28x24 inches on canvas. SOLD.
I remember growing up, life was wonderful.  I could look at the horizon and see miles away.  The air was fresh and few people had trouble with allergies, but years later, things are different.

Now days, I hear about so and so having health problem with this or that.  Frequently, it has been cancer.  As I was growing up, I don't remember anything about cancer.  Now, all of that has changed.

Cancer is affecting people all across the globe.  It touches everyone including the rich, the poor, the educated, the uneducated, the old and the young.

I recall a friend back in high school where I grew up in Texas.  He and I were pretty good friends.  He had a girlfriend, and when high school was over, he and his girlfriend moved away.  A couple of years ago, we rediscovered each other on Facebook.  That's when I learned that he got married to his high school sweetheart and later lost her to cancer.

Girl Alone is all about that loss.
